Milan, Italy -- COIM announced in early December that it is undertaking a feasibility study for a new low-free isocyanate prepolymer plant in the Asia Pacific region. The company declined to give any details of likely capacity or capital expenditure for the project.
Lucio Siano, president of COIM USA said: "The feasibility study starts four years after the acquisition of the polyurethane prepolymers business from Air Products. We are now encouraged to explore the use of this technology in several polyurethane applications."
COIM has production sites in Brazil, Europe, US, India and Singapore.
