Milan, Italy -- Coim is showcase its thermoplastic polyurethanes and pre-polymers for hot-cast elastomers, as well as laminating adhesives for the flexible packaging industry, at Chinaplas 2009, this week in Guangzhou, China.
Coim will also introduce new non-halogenated flame retardant graded of its Laripur TPUs designed for the wire and cable market. "These exhibit excellent mechanical properties, as well as flame retardant properties with elevated LOI, non dripping behaviour and ease of processing," Coim commented.
Another product the Italian polyurethane supplier will also highlight is its polyester polyols for uses in flexible and rigid foam as well as CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers).
Coim says its Diexter aliphatic polyester polyols reflects the company's core technology and also serve as a raw material intermediate for a multitude of downstream value-added polyurethane products.
The TPUs are based on various polyols including polyesters, polyethers, and caprolactones, and are offered from 60 Shore A to 75 Shore D for injection moulding, extrusion and adhesives. They cover a broad application area from custom moulding, footwear and seals to wire and cable, tubing, profiles, films and more, said Milan, Italy-headquartered Coim.
Coim will also emphasise its polycaprolactone and polyether based seals grades for "outstanding compression set properties at elevated temperature." They maintain excellent flexibility at low temperatures coupled with both chemical and hydrolysis resistance, the company commented.
