West Deptford, New Jersey – COIM plans to expand capacity for its range of Low Free Polyurethane pre-polymers at its facility here, the company said in a statement.
Coim said it would increase capacity for the materials by up to 2.5 times by the end of 2017. The company declined to quantify the size of the expansion further. The site was chosen because if offers synergies with existing polyester polyols production. The expansion will include technologies such as low free MDI and PPDi. The firm’s nearby Paulsboro plant will continue to operate.
The firm added that the US is a “growth market of strategic importance” and that the investment was designed to help it grow its customer-base there.
