Barcelona, Spain - Spanish polyurethane chemical suppliers will be telling customers about recent launches at the PU CHINA 2012 event being held 18-20 Sept in Shenzhen, China.
Among these will be dry finish mould release agents for cold-cure polyurethane foam. Concentrol says
Its new line of water-based mould-release agents in the international market. Concentrol LP FA-5-, provides a dry finish to the de-moulded piece, while also offering the possibility of fixing self-adhesive heating pads or electrical sensors to the foam surface.
Concentrol says this product combines the benefits of water-based mould-release agents (environmentally friendly, less reliance on oil price fluctuations, free of risk and safety issues, etc) with the benefits of solvent-based mould-release agents (easy maintenance of facilities, dry and smooth finish of the piece, the possibility of gluing onto the de-moulded surface, etc).
The company will also present new silicone surfactants for use as stabilisers in rigid polyurethane foam. These provide high stabilising capacity and excellent regulation of cell size, and may be used with different blowing agents, from water-based formulations to formulations containing additional blowing agents such as pentane and its isomers, or volatile liquids such as HCFC and HFCs.
