Charlotte, North Carolina -- Emery Oleochemicals showcased a purpose-built concept car and home interior at the UTECH North America exhibition.
The natural-based chemicals supplier, which has its HQ in Malaysia, developed the concept car in collaboration with its client car makers to showcase its range of eco-friendly polyols, including polyurethane scrap foam-based products.
Mark Durchholz, director business development, said the firm was pleased with the excitement the car had created at the event.
He said the project had involved a great deal of hard work.
The car was created in collaboration with InfiChem Polymers, which Emery Oleochemicals acquired in 2013.
Car parts on display at the company’s booth included seating, steering wheel, headliners and door trims while its innovation with home furnishings was exhibited through examples of bedding and furniture flexible foam as well as rigid foam used for insulation and refrigeration.
