Fuzhou, China – Connell Chemical is planning to build a 400kT/year MDI factory in Fuzhou, Fujian, pending regulatory approval, according to its environmental impact notice in October.
Located at the city’s Jiangyin Industrial Park, the new plant will also include feedstock capacities such as 55kT/year for formaldehyde and 360kT/year for aniline.
Headquartered in Jilin city, Jilin province with 800 employees, Connell claims to be the world’s largest aniline maker supplying to international chemical giants such as Dow Chemical.
The group has been expanding into MDI production over the past few years and has another 800kT/year MDI project in north China’s Cangzhou, Hebei in the pipeline.
