Washington, DC – The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) and Canada’s Caliber Quality Solutions are working together to expand training resources for the Canadian spray polyurethane foam industry.
CPI’s free ‘SPF Chemical Health & Safety Training for the Canadian Market’ will be a mandatory part of Caliber’s SPF Apprentice Installer credential that all Canadian SPF installers must gain. The training includes information about the use, handling and disposal of SPF, the potential health hazards, and control measures including PPE and engineering controls.
A recent update to the training accounts for the Canadian market and the regulations there. It is available in both English and French.
‘We see CPI as a driving force in advancing best practices and are pleased to collaborate with them to help promote health and safety for SPF installers,’ said Dave Andre, Caliber’s CEO.
Lee Salamone, senior director at CPI added: ‘Creating industry relationships such as this play an instrumental role in amplifying workplace health and safety resources to better serve broader markets.’
