Washington, DC -- The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) has announced two participants in the keynote panel discussion at its 2016 Polyurethanes Technical Conference.
Mahesh Ramanujam, coo at the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and American Chemistry Council (ACC) ceo Cal Dooley will join the panel.
“Energy-efficient solutions continue to transform the dynamic building and construction business sectors,” said Ramanujam.
According to Ramanujam, it is estimated that in 2016 40-48% of new non-residential construction, representing up to $145 bn (EUR129 bn), will be green.
“USGBC and ACC share the goal of advancing sustainability in the built environment. We are joining forces to advance standards like LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) that achieve measurable progress in sustainability,” he added.
Dooley said: “The interest in green building is intensifying and organisations such as ACC and USGBC can work together to ensure the industry has the right product solutions to sustain this growth."
“ACC members create cutting-edge products that support our modern way of life and make people’s lives better, safer and healthier," Dooley added.
The event will run from Monday, September 26, to Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland.
