CPI director moves to Bayer in run up to Polyurethanes 2010 conference

    Washington, DC -- Neeva-Gayle Candelori, director of the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry is moving on, taking up a post with Bayer MaterialScience's polyurethanes business, working in its Hong Kong office, with effect from 15 Sept.

    The move comes in the run up to the CPI's major event for the year, the Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference, which runs 11-13 Oct, in partnership with UTECH North America in Houston, Texas.

    "I will, of course, do everything within my power to ensure that there is a smooth transition, and will work closely with the CPI Steering Committee and ACC leadership over the coming weeks," she said in a brief statement. The CPI is a sector group within the American Chemistry Council, which also on the move: to a new headquarters on Capitol Hill in Washington, with effect from 7 Sept.

    Her new role is as head of advocacy and sustainability for BMS' polyurethanes division in Asia Pacific.

    "I have had the pleasure and honour to serve the plastics and polyurethane industries for 16 years," Candelori said, adding that, "working with the associations representing these industries has been deeply rewarding, and I am grateful for the many opportunities that have been provided for professional growth."
