Arlington, Virginia-The Plastics Division of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) announced 7 Feb that it is looking for candidates with strong leadership qualities and advocacy skills for the post of senior director of the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (formerly called the Alliance for the Polyurethanes Industry).
The post became vacant at the end of last year with the retirement of Dick Mericle.
As leader of this self-funded group, the director will represent the leading companies engaged in the polyurethanes business, including raw material producers, systems suppliers, processing and equipment manufacturers, as well as users of polyurethane materials, said the ACC.
ACC is looking for someone with visionary leadership and strong communication skills, coupled with experience in the polyurethanes industry, to carry out the organisation's mission effectively. The candidate should also have strategic planning and team-building skills and a good record of accomplishment, the organisation said. "
