Arlington Virginia - The US Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) wants entries for the 2008 Polyurethane "Innovation Award." This year's award categories are Polyurethane Chemicals, Processing Equipment and Finished Product.

Finalists will be selected and winners announced at the Polyurethanes 2008 Technical Conference, 29 Sept - 1 Oct at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.

"CPI recognises the importance of the efforts and foresight of the companies and individuals whose visions and perseverance have brought new products to the marketplace," commented Neeva-Gayle Candelori of CPI, in a CPI announcement.

"This year's award programme will shine the spotlight on products and technologies in three innovative categories. Without the efforts of those aiding in the advancement of polyurethanes, the industry would not be sustainable in the future," said Candelori (pictured).

Entries must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm EDT on 16 July 2008. A panel of judges representing a cross section of polyurethanes experience and knowledge, and representing industry and industry associations, will evaluate all submissions and choose finalists for each category.
