Barnsley, UK – CTM has become the agent for Hennecke machinery in the UK. The decision by Hennecke to move from its long time UK agent, AutoRim, was made following the OMS acquisition.
Rolf Trippler, Hennecke's managing director, explained: 'The plan is that we will have CTM UK as an exclusive agent for the whole of the Hennecke group from 1 April. It was the sole agent for OMS. After we acquired OMS, we restructured the agency network worldwide. It has nothing to do with CTM being better or worse than the previous agent.'
He added the decision to use CTM came out of the need to streamline its global agent network. He said the Hennecke business, even with OMS, was not large enough to warrant two distributors in the same country.
CTM will handle sales and service for Hennecke in the UK and Ireland.
