Brussels — Sales at Recticel were EUR 318m ($ 348m) in the third quarter of 2016 compared with EUR 323m in the 2015 period, a fall of 1.6% the company said in a trading statement.
The figures were hit by an adverse currency effect of 2.8%, profitability improved in the nine months to EUR 9m which was driven by higher volumes and efficiency gains, the firm added. Combined sales in the first nine months of 2016 were up 1.3% to EUR 1bn from EUR 990.8m in the equivalent 2015 period. This 1.3% improvement was despite a negative currency impact of 1.9%, the company added.
