Liberec, Czech Republic -- Car parts maker Modelarna Liaz has unveiled plans to invest about CZK 70m (EUR2.52m) by the end of 2015 to expanding output of its production facility in Liberec.
Currently, the Czech producer exports 85% of its total production, Filip Prazak, the firm’s sales and executive director, told local news agency CIA.
With the planned expansion capacity, the producer has already contracted new orders for 2015 which are to increase its sales.
Modelarna Liaz says that it specialises in processing of polyurethanes and plastic materials, and molds intended for automotive glass sealing profiles are among some of its key products. In addition to this, the firm’s product portfolio consists of moulds for PUR encapsulation and other car parts.
In addition, the company supplies the civil and military aviation and power engineering sectors.
Headquartered in Liberec 110km (about 70 miles) from Prague, Modelárna Liaz is Czech owned, it employs 110 employees, according to data released by the firm. The formerly state-run company was privatised in 1996.
It claims to be the largest manufacturer of PUR foam moulds in Europe.
