Cangzhou, Hebei – Dahua plans to expand its TDI capacity by 265 kT/year at its site in Cangzhou, Hebei province.
Located at the city’s Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone, the project will up the capacity of Dahua’s existing facilities from 120 kT/year to 160 kT/year, and also build new facilities with 225 kT/year capacity.
This will bring Dahua’s total TDI capacity to 415 kT/year, including 30 kT/year at another site in Cangzhou. It will overtake Wanhua’s 300 kT/year facility in Yantai, Shandong province as the largest TDI maker in China.
The project is currently under environmental impact review. According to the environmental filing, it has CNY 4.5bn ($657m) investment earmarked, and will create 144 new jobs.
The project is expected to come on stream by July 2023, and generate CNY860m annual revenue.
Last year, Dahua produced 175 kT TDI, with 150 kT/year designed capacity.
