Baltimore, Maryland – A new urethanised acrylic sealant, Extreme Stretch, has been introduced by DAP.
DAP introduces flexible PU sealant
The company says it combines the superior flexibility, adhesion strength and durability of polyurethane with the ease of clean-up and paint properties of an acrylic latex.
The product was formulated to give flexibility and adhesion to a variety of surface materials, giving a seal that will not crack. It can be used by professionals and DIYers alike, DAP claims.
“Whether mounting new windows and doors, or putting the finishing touches on a new crown moulding installation, Extreme Stretch provides the performance needed for a long-lasting seal,” said Jason Wirth, senior product manager at DAP. “Not only does Extreme Stretch move with your home to stand up to weather and temperature extremes, but its superior paintability also ensures a professional finish.”
DAP says the product can be used to seal around windows, doors, sidings, eaves, vents, baseboards, crown moulding, soffits, countertops and sinks in both indoor and outdoor settings. It can be painted within two hours of application.
