Arlington, Virginia-The deadline for submitting technical paper abstracts for the Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference, in partnership with the UTECH North America Exhibition is 1 March 2007.
The Alliance for the Polyurethanes Industry (API) wants the industry to join in, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary at the Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference, which is being in partnership with the UTECH North America Exhibition, 24-26 Sept at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
"This year's technical conference represents an opportunity to reach an audience of more than 1500 manufacturers and processors of polyurethane-based products across all industrial sectors," said a 11 Jan statement from API.
API adds that papers and posters may address innovations and developments in any area of polyurethane-flexible and rigid foams, soya-based polyols, coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers, equipment/machinery, waterborne dispersions, thermoplastic polyurethanes, integral skin, reaction injection moulding, binders/fillers and more.
Papers may cover breakthrough technology in polyurethane markets or chemistry, developing markets such as medical or fibre-board, and product areas such as rigid foam insulation or coatings.
They may also focus on environmental and health and safety issues, including emissions, regulatory developments, waste management and related topics.

API is also seeking applications are for the 2007 Polyurethane Innovation Awards. These awards recognise the efforts and foresight of companies and individuals whose visions have brought new products to the marketplace. Applications are being accepted until 5:00 p.m. EDT on July 2, 2007. This year, awards will be presented in three new categories: Polyurethane Chemicals; Processing Equipment; and Finished Products.
