Arlington, Virginia -The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) has issued a final call for entries for the 2007 Polyurethane "Innovation Award" in three categories - Polyurethane Chemicals, Processing Equipment and Finished Product.
Finalists will be selected and winners announced at the Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference, "Step Into The Future." This conference is being held in partnership with UTECH North America Exhibition, in Orlando, Florida, 24-26 Sept at The Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center.
"This year's award programme will shine the spotlight on products and technologies in three new innovative categories. Without the efforts of those aiding in the advancement of polyurethanes, the industry would not be able to take that next step into the future," said Neeva-Gayle Candelori of CPI, in a CPI statement.
Those interested must submit an application no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT on 2 July 2007. Finalist will be chosen by a panel of five judges and will be on display at the Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference.
Attendees will have a chance to cast one vote per category for the entry that they believe demonstrates the most innovative use of polyurethanes. The results will be announced on Wednesday 26 Sept 2007, during the closing session of the conference.
The Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference, in partnership with UTECH North America Exhibition, will feature 19 technical and two issue-oriented sessions in all, with many additional poster presentations on breakthrough technologies, developing markets and product innovations. Over 100 companies have booked exhibition space at the event and the organisers are expecting up to 1200 attendees, representing 40 countries, from suppliers and processors in all segments of the polyurethanes industry.
CPI is also running its Polyurethane Professional Development Program - eight seminars ranging from introductory courses to advanced topics. epw
