Washington, DC -- Deadlines are fast approaching to submit poster abstracts, register for the polyurethane professional development programme (PDP) and receive discounts on conference registration for the 2012 polyurethanes technical conference, according to the event's organisers.
The conference, which is hosted by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), will take place 24-26 Sept at the Omni Hotel at CNN Centre in Atlanta, Georgia.
"We're looking forward to great attendance and dozens of technical sessions at this year's conference," said Lee Salamone, senior director of CPI. "Attendees can look forward to learning about the latest issues and trends from our industry's leaders, as well as numerous networking opportunities to meet with experts and colleagues."
Poster abstracts for this year's conference must be received by 22 August. CPI said the posters address a variety of issues, including breakthrough technologies in the polyurethane market or chemistry, developing markets, or advancements in product areas. Posters may also highlight environmental and stewardship issues, such as product emissions and end-of-life management.
The PDP will feature courses on topics such as introductory polyurethane chemistry, markets and applications, adhesives and binders, and elastomers and coatings. Onsite PDP registration is available, but professionals interested in attending this year's programme are encouraged to register for each seminar of interest before 31 Aug, CPI said.
CPI also noted that attendees can save $200 with early conference registration until 31 Aug. It said participants can book a room at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center by that date to take advantage of the discounted group rate.
