Birmingham, UK - Delcam Crispin has released updated versions of its ShoeMaker software for 3-D concept design and Engineer Pro pattern development and grading software for the footwear industry.
The software features new functionality, revised options and an improved installation process, Delcam said in a statement.
ShoeMaker helps users to produce realistic 3-D footwear models for design and marketing reviews, while reducing the number of samples produced, the company said. New functionality includes user-defined flattening for Offset Concept Lasts (OCL), improvements to the last import with automatic detection of the centre lines, better control over the positioning of image stencils including pre-point alignment tool.
Engineer Pro helps users to produce 2-D sample and graded footwear apparent from manufacturing in the "fastest possible time, while also assisting in the management of tooling costs." Delcam said new functionality includes Single Click Boundary, a new way to create boundaries were left click in a closed area creates a boundary in the closing lines. The company has also made improvements to the speed of the boundary, chain and join functions.
