Troy, Michigan - It's not just the seasons that are changing. Multi-billion dollar auto supplier Delphi Corp. is now going by the name Delphi Automotive llp following its emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Private investors purchased the assets of Troy-based Delphi in October to create the new Delphi Automotive. The company debuted the new name in a 4 Nov announcement listing its new "Board of Managers."
The name marks the third official name for the company in 10 years. It was first known as Delphi Automotive Systems Corp. following its spinoff from former parent General Motors Corp. That name was simplified to Delphi Corp. about six years ago.
