Arlington, Texas – Spray polyurethane foam manufacturer Demilec has received Canadian Construction Materials Centre, or CCMC, approval for its Heatlok Soya/PolarFoam Soya spray foam insulation.
The registration confirms that the foam meets National Building Code of Canada 2010 and 2015 requirements for use with select membranes and primers.
Based on Evaluation 14068-R, Demilec believes that it has the strongest air barrier system in the industry. When installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions by a trained contractor, the products are approved for use as air barrier systems in combination with transition membranes and primers from several manufacturers.
‘By taking an all-systems approach to materials testing and installation, Demilec is proactively working to simplify the specification process for architects and contractors looking to create air barrier systems for their projects in Canada,’ said Tom Harris, Demilec’s vice president for building science.
