Brussels – Ahead of the EU-wide restriction on the use of diisocyanates in 2023, the Association of the European Adhesive & Sealant Industry (FEICA) has produced a leaflet on how to use the products safely.
The restriction will apply to all products with more than 0.1% total monomeric diisocyanate concentration from 24 August 2023. All professional and industrial users of these products will have to be trained and certified.
FEICA is working with fellow diisocyanate industry associations ISOPA and ALIPA to prepare a documents. Its members and professional and industrial users can use these to help them through the process. The documents should be available in February 2022.
The publication, A Safe Future for Polyurethane Products, is also available in German, French, Spanish, Polish and Italian. A Dutch version is also in the works.
