Moscow — Alexander Dmitriev has been appointed president of Nappan, a Russian trade association for PU sandwich panel makers, machinery and materials suppliers.
Dmitriev heads Nappan
Dmitriev, a 20-year veteran of Italy-based Saip will be in the post until 2018, the association said in a release.
He said: " Today in Russia most of the panels used in industrial constructions are made of rock wool; the relationship between number of rock wool panels used versus PUR / PIR panels is about 4 : 1, while in Europe is around 1 : 4."
"The advantages and the benefits arising from the use of materials such as PUR and PIR are not yet fully understood; my goal in this term will be to get closer and closer to the European ratio, through focused actions, promotion and disclosure of this technology with authorities and companies working in the field."
Dmitriev added that he is "convinced that looking beyond the border to similar associations can lead us towards good results."
