Dhaka, Bangladesh – Synthetic leather specialist Dongwoo is to set up a shoe accessories manufacturing plant in the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority’s economic zone in Dhaka. The South Korean company plans to invest $8.62m at the site.
The plant will produce a variety of different polyurethane-based synthetic leathers, with an annual capacity of 3.6m metres. The investment will create more than 500 jobs locally.
