Brisbane, Australia -- Australia's largest thermoplastics company, Dotmar Engineering Plastics Products Pty Ltd, will open its latest distribution centre in Townsville, Queensland in the first week of August. With this new centre, Dotmar says it will be able to offer "greater levels of service, application and technical support to its Far North Queensland customers."
Branch manager Bevan Lord is confident this new distribution centre in Garbut will provide customers with immediate access to polyurethane parts, conveyor products, nylon and acetal rod and more, in addition to expert technical advice, applications support and plastics knowledge.
"Our staff specialise in developing alternatives to timber, metal and rubber" said Lord, adding, "we will assist customers to develop innovative solutions incorporating the remarkable benefits of plastics."
Lord said that Dotmar has analysed customers' material and lead-time requirements in local markets, and will focus on "delivering a strong, value-added service that exceeds expectations."
Dotmar's 15 July statement said a locally recruited team has plenty of industrial experience and a solid understanding of the industries being serviced by Far North Queensland businesses.
Earlier this year, Dotmar invested A$250 000 ($232 000) on new PU casting equipment which it said would double its PU-related business within two years.
Established in 1967, with seven branches across Australia and five in New Zealand, Dotmar claims to be the leading supplier of polyurethanes, engineering thermoplastics and conveyor components throughout the Asian region.
