Dow and Mobike turn scrap PU tyres into Chinese sports ground

The game's afoot. Children playing basketball on old tyres.
Dow said its materials have made 4.6m solid PU tyres for of Mobike's bikes so far.
The sports field is in Yan’an, Shaanxi province. Old Mobike tyres were ground up and mixed with Dow's Voramer binder to make the playing field. This was donated to the school on World Environment day, 5 June.
Dow and Mobike started their partnership in 2017. Mobike chose Dow's material because it can reduce tyre weight by 30% compared with conventional pneumatic tyres. Polyurethane cycle tyres are also puncture proof.
