Horgen, Switzerland - Dow Chemical polyurethanes business group will raise polyols prices in India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) effective 15 June 2008 or where contracts allow.
In the statement Dow said that prices will increase by Euro 130/tonne, or respectively $200/tonne.
"This increase reflects the persistent and unrelenting rise in the current feedstock and energy costs, these high feedstock costs have created an unsustainable situation. It is vital that we restore our margins in order to be able to invest in this industry long term," said Sudhir Shenoy, Dow product manager for IMEA.
