Rayong, Thailand – Dow has increased capacity for polyols to 79 kT/year at its plant here.
The new polyol plant extension was opened on 8 November. It is located in the company's 525 ha site near the town.
The opening 'demonstrates Dow's commitment to polyurethanes to bring our customer a reliable supply,' said Jane Plamieri. Palmieri is business president, Dow Polyurethanes.
She added that: 'the site is 'an important addition to Dow's global polyurethanes manufacturing network'.
The company continued that the site fits is part of its expansion strategy. Recently this has led the company to open new systems houses in Lote Parshuram, India and Zhangjiagang, China.
