Midland, Michigan -- Dow Building Solutions will be donating insulation and air-sealing products to Habitat for Humanity for a construction project in Jonesboro, Georgia, the company said in a 2 Mar press release.
A business unit of Dow Chemical Co., Dow Building Solutions will provide a number of products from its portfolio to Habitat for Humanity's Neighbourhood Revitalisation initiative.
Launched in 2009, the development project is designed to support homeowners in areas suffering from "high foreclosure rates, abandonment and home maintenance issues," Dow said in the statement. The Southern Crescent wing of the charity is working with 70 low-income homeowners in the area to carry out energy efficiency upgrades and general maintenance.
"This marks the 30th year that Dow has supported Habitat for Humanity initiatives, and we are especially glad to participate in this initiative for revitalising and retrofitting some of America's most distressed neighborhoods," said Scott Young, global director of energy efficiency and sustainability for Dow Building Solutions.
