Midland, Michigan - Dow Polyurethanes is increasing is increasing its polyol and TDI (toluene diisocyanate) prices in India, the Middle East and Africa (IMEA), the company said recently.
Polyol prices will be increased by $300/tonne and TDI prices will be increased by $200/tonne, both effective immediately, Dow said.
"This increase reflects the continued rise in feedstock and energy costs," said Sudhir Shenoy, product manager for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. "This high cost environment has created an unsustainable situation and we must restore our margins to continue investing in this industry long term," he added. (RD)
