Horgen, Switzerland -- Dow Polyurethanes is increasing its prices for polyols, MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) and TDI (toluene diisocyanate) in Europe, from 1 March 2010.
Polyol and MDI prices will increase by Euro 200/tonne and TDI prices will increase by Euro 250/tonne, as applicable, a 15 Feb company statement said.
Dow said the rising cost of feedstocks has led to an "unsustainable situation" and the company must "restore its margins to remain a reliable supplier to the polyurethanes industry. (RD)
