Horgen, Switzerland - Dow Europe will increase its prices for polyurethane raw materials in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent, effective 15 Jan, Dow said 8 Jan.
Prices for TDI (toluene diisocyanate) will increase by $250/tonne, and prices for flexible Polyols and MDI (methyl diphenyl diisocyanate) will increase by $150/tonne, the statement said.
"These increases are necessary to keep business viable in the continued rise of feedstock and energy costs," said Sudhir Shenoy, regional product manager for Dow Polyurethane Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region. "This high-cost environment has created an unsustainable situation and we must restore our margins to continue providing quality products and services." (RD)
