Dow makes changes to its business leadership

Michigan, US – Dow has made several changes to its leadership. This includes a new chief operating officer, and new presidents for its Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure and Packaging & Specialty Plastics businesses.

Karen Carter, the new COO, was previously president of the Packaging & Specialty Plastics business. In her new role, she will be responsible for driving business and operational perofmance across the organisation, with a focus on strengthening customer engagement and relationships. She has been with the company for three decades.

Carter is succeeded in her previous role by Keith Cleason, who will also assume executive oversight for Latin America. His previous role with the company was as VP for olefins, aromatics & alternatives, plus Univation Technologies.

Elsewhere, in the Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure business, which includes polyurethanes, current president Jane Palmieri is retiring after more than 30 years with the company.

She is succeeded by Marco ten Bruggencate, who will also have executive oversight for the company’s EMEAI region. He was most recently president of Dow EMEAI, having joined Dow in 2000 with the acquisition of the Flexible Products Company.
