Brasov, Romania -- Dow Chemical has opened a new service centre and storage facility for its PU products in Brasov, in Romania’s central part.
The facility is operated by Dow Poliuretan, the company’s local subsidiary. The centre will provide technical service, such as product demonstrations, prototype development and mechanical testing of finished products, and training for customers. It also includes a warehouse that is to increase the company’s storage capacity for PU systems.
In addition to the Romanian market, Dow says that the new facility will also provide services to customers in a number of neighbouring countries, including Bulgaria and other markets in the Balkans.
At the official launching ceremony in Brasov, Claudiu Tuncu, the director general for Romania and Bulgaria at Dow Chemical, said that the Romanian market is one of the most promising and dynamic ones in the Central-Eastern European region.
“Dow Chemical is strengthening its commitment to contribute to the economic growth of Romania in sectors such as infrastructure development and construction,” Tuncu said.
The value of the investment in Brasov was not disclosed.
