Washington -- Dow Chemical Co has indicated it will appeal to the Supreme Court to overturn a fine and compensation for price-fixing in polyurethane bought as part of a class action.
After the company was fined $1.1bn for its part in a urethane antitrust conspiracy - which utech-polyurethane.com extensively reported in the past, the firm launched an appeal in the 10th Circuit Appeals Court.
Dow has indicated that it will submit its request for a Supreme Court judicial review by 9 March, 2015.
The class, comprised mainly of US foam manufacturers, was against Dow, Bayer AG, BASF SE and Huntsman.
