The group has also announced price increases of $0.05/lb for the products in North America and Latin America, with effect from 1 Oct."The overall supply/demand situation in propylene glycol and propylene oxide remains tight, and we do not see any respite in the near term," said Antulio Borneo, commercial director, Dow Oxides and Glycols. "Raw material and energy costs continue their upward trends and also influence Dow’s decision to increase prices for its products," Borneo added in the company statement."
