Horgen, Switzerland-Dow Chemical Co.'s Polyurethanes business will increase prices in Europe for its polyols by 150 Euro/tonne, from 1 April 2007, or as contracts allow. Dow added that similar price increases are being implemented in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent.
"The increases reflect the persistently high raw material costs, which continue to have a significant impact on our cost of production, as well as the tight supply/demand situation we are experiencing," said Herman Motmans, product manager Europe, MEAI, in a 19 March company statement. (epw)"
