The Dow executive added that "raw material and energy costs also remain a concern." Dow claims industry leadership in the manufacture of propylene glycol, with global capacity of more than 450 kilotonnes: the company offers propylene oxide, monopropylene glycol, dipropylene glycol and TPG globally. The regular TPG grade is used as an initiator for urethane polyol synthesis from epoxides and as the polyol in some polyurethane foam systems. "
