4Midland, Michigan -- During the PU TECH 2011 exhibition and conference, being held at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, 9-11 March 2011, Dow will focus on products which reinforce the theme of the event: improving the usage of polyurethane in every household.
Dow said its emphasis is going to be on effectiveness of polyurethane insulation in cold chain/construction; utility in comfort, especially furniture and bedding; other specific applications in health, leisure and sports.
According to Dow, the major themes of PUTECH 2011 are
•Energy efficient solutions for commercial buildings and recent advancements in environmental solution for cold chain
•High resilience (HR) and viscoelastic specialty foams which provide improved comfort and support in "all foam" mattresses
•Product and technology expertise which create solutions for the household appliance market.
•Product and technology expertise for automotive solutions.
Dow is also showing
•Long-fibre reinforced polyurethane composites for automotive uses
•Recent advancements in polyether microcellular polyurethane in footwear industry
•High performance engineering elastomers for various bearing applications.
At the accompanying conference, Steven English, ISOPA president and vice president, Dow Polyurethanes will be giving the key note presentation, while three technical papers from Dow will cover PU composites, footwear and the cold chain.
Dow said the "Indian Polyurethane association and its members have tried to make this PUTECH holistic and memorable," with an ISOPA "walk the talk" programme, and themes to promote PU usage in a variety of end applications.
