Midland, Michigan -- Dow Formulated Systems will showcase its polyurethane and epoxy systems combined with carbon fibre capabilities, which it claims provide "significant advantage to composites market," at the JEC Europe 2013 Composites Exhibition in Paris, 12-14 March.
Dow will showcase its most recent developments in composite systems, from its own expertise on polyurethane and epoxy chemistry together with the recent DowAksa joint venture for carbon fibre. These solutions, says Dow, enable efficient fabrication of stronger, lightweight and more durable composites in construction, infrastructure, wind energy and transport.
At stand P 14 - by JEC's main entrance - visitors can see Dow composites in versatile applications using established fabrication processes, including:
Filament Winding: Compress Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) pressure vessels made with epoxy systems.
Pultrusion: Seawall and ladder profiles made with a new polyurethane system, offering faster line speeds, toughness and the opportunity for low emission processing.
