Winterthur, Switzerland-Wolfgang Drees, formerly a management executive with the Bosch Group, joined Rieter Automotive Systems 1 Jan 2007 as head of the company's automotive business in Europe.
"Drees is an experienced manager with a profound knowledge of business procedures gained in a leading international industrial group in the automotive supply industry, " said a Rieter statement.
Drees's career with Robert Bosch GmbH took him as far as the group's executive management, following management positions in manufacturing in Germany and management of a Japanese-German joint venture in the US. Most recently he was responsible for the automotive Chassis Systems division, and for business activities in the Consumer Goods business sector.
At Rieter, Drees replaces Christian Duhay, who has had "a long and distinguished career with Rieter Automotive," a statement from the group said. Duhay will continue working with Rieter on strategic projects. "
