Bangalore, India – Duroflex enrolled Indian cricketing legend Anil Kumble to launch its new Energise range of mattresses. Kumble, who is the third-highest wicket taker in Test cricket and also a former head coach of the Indian cricket team, cited the importance of good sleep to success in sport, and the contribution that a comfortable mattress can make.
‘Sleep is essential for recovery,’ Kumble said. ‘The feeling of being recharged is essential and is dependent on the quality and comfort of the mattress we sleep on. As a sportsperson, I used to be on the road a lot, which meant I ended up sleeping on different mattresses wherever we were put up. The first thing I used to do when I checked into a hotel was to check the mattress because how we sleep greatly affects our performance the next day.’
The mattresses are constructed using an Active NRG layer for pressure distribution, Qube cell technology, and PCM phase changing material that optimises temperature. There are nine mattresses in the range.
