Brussels, Belgium — The European Commission has approved the purchase of Hilding Anders, a Swedish mattress and furniture manufacturer by KKR, a private equity fund manager.
The EC concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns because the company’s activities do not overlap and are very limited on related markets. The operation was examined under the commission’s simplified merger review procedure.
UTECH-polyurethane.com reported that KKR agreed to acquire a stake in Hilding Anders in early December 2016.
Hilding Anders Recently announced expanded its factory in Rae, Estonia close to Tallinn.
