Helsinki -- The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) says its classification and labelling platform will support companies to proactively work on the quality of their REACH notifications and better fulfil their legal obligations.
ECHA said the web-based discussion forum provides a safe and easy way for companies to get in contact with notifiers or registrants of the same substance. The aim of the C&L platform is to facilitate compliance with the regulation and improve the overall quality of the public C&L Inventory data.
The platform, which can be accessed through the C&L Inventory webpage on the ECHA website, is designed to be simple and user-friendly. Each substance has its own "discussion room," accessible only to those registrants and notifiers who have submitted a notification to that particular substance.
The agency is organising a public webinar in March on the use of the platform, and more information will be published on the ECHA homepage soon, it said.
