Helsinki, Finland -- The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published a report evaluating the progress the agency has made in evaluating REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) registration dossiers in 2009.
The ECHA has received 406 complete registrations and begun evaluating 35 of those dossiers, the agency said 1 March.
The evaluation report, which also provides recommendations to registrants so that they can improve the quality of their dossiers, also lists key findings related to the most common problems found in the submitted dossiers. The ECHA recommends that companies thoroughly analyse the legal requirements and the relevant guidance or manuals to improve the quality of the dossiers.
