Inverigo, Italy – Saip has supplied a refrigerator plant to Electrolux Professional’s facility in Vallenoncello in North East Italy.
Electrolux Professional choses Saip

Electrolux Professional supplies refrigeration systems to the catering and hospitality industry. The firm chose a system from Saip, which can produce up to 32 different cabinet models on a single line, the firm said.
Saip said that its foaming system is unique because it uses a controls which check that each part of the machine is correctly positioned for the model that is scheduled to be produced. This process ensures that the heated foaming plugs are automatically in the right place and ready to foam for the model selected; that foaming masks are in place; and, that the cabinets are fully equipped with items such as compensators for undercuts.
Additionally, the cabinets are speedily placed into vertical position using electric motors. Saip said that these require much less maintenance and energy to operate than traditional hydraulic systems. Saip added that it hopes to patent this technology.
Finally, to ensure that the polyurethane insulation is used efficiently, the cabinets are foamed from the back and face up. This fills the space between the cabinet and the liner from the bottom of the cabinet to the top and gives better filling and density distribution than other filling methods, said Saip.
Patrizio Mazzocut, director of the Vallenoncello plant said: ‘This project was a real challenge in terms of technological innovation. It allowed us to greatly increase our agility.’
He continued that the new installation offered ‘faster, reliable and more intelligent mould change systems’ and better information capture. Mazzocut said that using the Saip installation means there is no need to manage the changeover process between models.
