Woodbridge, Illinois – Elevance and Stahl are collaborating to develop, make and sell polyurethane dispersions based on C-18 polyol chemistry.
The extension is to an agreement reached in 2016 between the two businesses. It will now focus more on flexible coatings for cars.
Elevance said that its C18 technology enables PUDs to be made that are hydrophobic and crystalline. This makes it possible to produce coatings with good hydrolytic stability and which are also flexible, it claimed.
