Leverkusen, Germany -- Polyurethane film producer Epurex Films GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of Bayer MaterialScience AG, has been awarded the status of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). Epurex said in a 3 May statemen that such certification is issued by the customs authorities and recognised in all EU member states.
Any company wishing to be AEO certified must fulfill extensive criteriawith regard to creditworthiness, legal compliance and safety standardsin international trade in goods.
"We are delighted to havebeen awarded this AEO certification because it sends a clear messagethat we consider quality and safety to be top priorities," said RüdigerHeins, sales and marketing manager at Epurex Films.
AEO status confers advantages such as simplified customs procedures, 'fast-tracking' through security checks and preferential customs clearance, Epurex added.
In addition, customers benefit "because they can demonstrate that they work together with a particularly reliable and trustworthy partner," the company said.
Epurex high-performance technical films are used in many outlets -- includngautomotive roof linings, plasters, and safety glass. The business develops and makes high-quality polyurethanefilms, breathable membranes and efficient hot-melt adhesive films.
