Sydney, Australia -- Era Polymers said 18 Feb 2013 that it has acquired Urethane Coatings Pty Ltd, a deal that Era says has "considerably strengthened our floor coatings business."
Australian polyurethane formulator Era Polymers commented that: "Urethane Coatings has achieved an impressive reputation built on product quality, customer service and technical capability." Its portfolio includes coatings and ancillary products for use with timber, parquetry, cork and concrete.
The coatings supplier's flexibility to develop "unique products" for special requirements will make this company a good fit with Era Polymers, the statement added.
Mark Webb becomes national coatings manager for Urethane Coatings & Era Polymers.
Set up in 1979 as the research and development arm of Huntley Chemicals, Urethane Coatings started making polyurethanes in 1991 in response to demand from customers.
